Book Review "Mindf*ck": Does what the title says

Mindf*ck: Inside Cambridge Analytica’s Plot to Break the World  is a memoir written by Christopher Wylie, a Canadian whistleblower who formerly worked as a data consultant at Cambridge Analytica(CA) and its parent company Strategic Communication Laboratories(SCL). The book is pretty much about Cambridge Analytica's efforts to create psychological weapons and their effect on Brexit and Donald Trump's presidential campaign . After this part, Wylie tells about his childhood in Canada, how his fondness for computers grew, how he joined the Liberal Party in Canada. Then he describes his career in England. Book Review "The Emperor's Handbook": An introductory book on Stoic Philosophy

The Emperor's Handbook is a translation of the works of Marcus Aurelius, the famous Roman emperor. The contents of this book are the personal writings of Marcus Aurelius on how to lead his life according to stoic philosophy.  Written from 161 to 180 AD, The Emperor's Handbook (also named as Mediations in other translations) is a compilation of Aurelius's personal notes to himself and his views on stoic philosophy. These writings were like a manual to lead a good life and guideline for self-improvement to himself. There are 12 books in this set of writings. The books do not follow any chronological sequence. In fact, the contents of this book were never meant for publication. বুক রিভিউ "নারায়ণ গঙ্গোপাধ্যায়-এর ছোটগল্প"

সাহিত্যের এক অদ্ভুত ধারা ছোটগল্প! ছোটগল্প কাকে বলে তা নিয়ে নানা মুনির নানা মত রয়েছে। আমার কাছে ছোটগল্প অনেক ভালো লাগার একটা বিষয়। কারণ ছোটগল্প মোটামুটি অল্প সময়ের মধ্যে পড়া যায় আর পড়া শেষে মনের মধ্যে একটা চিন্তার বীজ বপন করে করে দিয়ে যায় (যদি গল্পের বিষয় সেরকম হয় আর গল্পটা হৃদয়স্পর্শী হয়)। সেজন্যই সময় পেলে বিভিন্ন লেখকের এর ছোটগল্প পড়ার একটা (দুর্বল) প্রচেষ্টা নিজের মধ্যে রয়েছে। বাংলা ছোটগল্পের জনক হিসেবে রবীন্দ্রনাথকে বিবেচনা করা হয়। এটাও বলা হয় যে, তিনি বাংলা ছোটগল্পের শ্রেষ্ঠ লেখক। তবে আমার মনে হয়, ছোটগল্প লেখায় বনফুলকে অন্য কোনো লেখক ছাড়িয়ে যেতে পারেন নি (রবীন্দ্রনাথের ছোটগল্প খুব একটা বেশি পড়ি নি, এটা আমার কূপমন্ডুকতা)। ক্লাস ফোরে থাকাকালে (দাদার কল্যাণে) " বনফুলের শ্রেষ্ঠ গল্প " নামে একটা ছোটগল্পের সংকলন হাতে পেয়েছিলাম। সেই বইটির বিভিন্ন গল্প আমি বারবার পড়তাম। প্রথমদিকে গল্পগুলোর অন্তর্নিহিত অর্থগুলো আমি উপলব্ধি করতে পারি নি। পরে বয়স বাড়ার সাথে সাথে গল্পগুলো কেমন যেন বাস্তব জীবনের সাথে প্রাসঙ্গিক, সম্পর্কযুক্ত হয়ে উঠতে থাকে। তাই এর পর থেকেই আমার মধ্যে ছো...
